Technical Specifications:
The PagePeel is comprised of two main graphical elements, the dogear which is the teaser, and the pagepeel which is the larger image revealed when rolling over the dogear. An optional third element can replace the default reflective flap, referred to as the peelback.
All three elements can be formatted as .jpg, .gif, .png or .swf. Specifications for each format are listed below:
.jpg, .gif, .png:
When composing the files using .jpg, .gif, .png, the files must have the follow specifications:
- Color Mode RGB
- 72 DPI
- Standard optimization (no progressive scan)
- Less than 100 kilobytes
- Non-animated if .gif.
.swf (Flash):
When composing the files using .swf (Flash), the files must have the follow specifications:
- Version 8 or lower, AS 2.0
- A background flood color should be included for any non-white backgrounds.
- Less than 100 kilobytes
- 30 FPS
- Any click-throughs or buttons removed
For the dogear, the standard dimensions are 100 pixels in width and 75 pixels in height. Only about 40 or so of the top pixels are visible though, refer to the art templates. Any image wider than 300 pixels will automatically ticker from right to left, unless using a .swf (flash) file. A buffer of 100 pixels should be placed on either side to allow for a smooth transition. Any image less than 300 pixels in width will not ticker.
For the pagepeel, the dimensions are at a fixed ratio of 4:3 with the maximum dimensions being 800 pixels in width and 600 pixels in height. The composition should place all the live content in the upper right hand corner, as nothing in the lower left corner will be visible. If using left hand alignment, switch the composition so the artwork is from the top left.
The optional peelback to replace the reflection flap should be 600 pixels in width and 500 pixels in height. If a transparent format is used such as a .png or .swf, the steel gray reflection of the peelback flap will show thorough the transparent areas. Overall color change to the peelback flap can be achieved by using a semi-transparent layer of color and saving in .png or .swf format.
Mode Types:
There are three basic display mode types. The default mode type is reflective, which shows a reflection of the dogear and pagepeel images in the lower left flap. The peelback mode shows a separate image in the lower left flap removing the reflective affect. The third display mode is reveal, which removes the entire lower left flap, revealing the majority of the dogear and pagepeel image.

Pro Tips:
Third party tracking:
Object can accept third-party tracking. This includes the traditional counting pixel and click-tag.
One Button Limit: The object is comprised of one large button for the click-through which supercedes all other items including buttons specified in your provided creatives. Use root level mouse coordinates rather than buttons to initiate additional actions such as sound or animated "rollovers". Upon request, multiple buttons can be incorporated. |
